GOLF OUTING RESULTS  

Golf Outing Results! The Annual MSU - UM Great Lakes Golf Outing allowed for another fun day on the course where the Spartans and Wolverines could battle it out for bragging rights.  We are happy to say that MSU was victorious by a score of 69-34 overall skins.  About 60 folks enjoyed a fabulous day which began with a visit from Sam Puryear, MSU Men's Golf Coach.  Coach Puryear is the reigning Big Ten Coach of the Year, Big Ten Champions and was recently featured in Golfweek. To close out the event, Martin Jarmond -an Assistant Athletics Director from MSU, joined us and allowed time for some Q and A.  Both were fantastic and what a special day to have so much support from E. MSU Charlotte-Piedmont Alumni Club Endowed (ACE) Scholarship was established to support students from the North Carolina/South Carolina region attending Michigan State University who have demonstrated academic excellence and a commitment to community leadership. The Charlotte-Piedmont Alumni Club recognizes that scholarship opportunities make a significant difference in promoting academic excellence and in recruitment of prospective students.

Forming in the summer of 2006, the "EBBN" rallied to deliver three inspirational events and bring to light the success of MSU Alumni.  The presentations provided Alumni and friends with leading edge thoughts on Leadership, Entrepreneurialism and Happiness in Business. 
Dr. Robert Duncan (Dean of Business School, MSU), Dan Roselli (President, Red F) and David Cosper (Vice Chairman, Sonic Automotive) are all to thank for sharing their expertise in these areas.  Attendees were privileged to hear dynamic presentations by all of these nationally and internationally respected Spartans. 

Concluding our event series we focused on an often raised question, “What are my MBA options?”  Naturally the first response is ‘Go Green’.  The potential MBA Candidates were able to investigate four programs to determine which best suits their needs. Represented were Queens University of Charlotte, Wake Forrest, UNC-Charlotte and MSU MBA programs.  This event, hosted by Queens University of Charlotte, allowed everyone to hear from all four programs in one evening.
